If lighting the wood wick is difficult, it may be too far above the wax. Trim the wick to 1/8"-3/16", and light at the base of the wick where it touches the wax.

To avoid candle "tunneling" during the first burn, please burn no shorter than a 3-hour time period. This will allow the candle to create a full melt pool across the diameter of the candle container.

Never attempt to burn a candle to the very bottom of the glass container. The wick holder is designed to leave 1/2" of wax that is not burned, which protects the container from potentially overheating and cracking.
